Paul Simon hand-written paper note: "Neil, I'm looking for a hanging lamp for my kitchen (maybe Handel). It's not here now but maybe one will come up. - Paul Simon."
Provenance: Personally written to the consignor in the 1980s. The consignor owned and operated an antique shop in New York City in the 1970's & 80's. He dealt heavily in lamps and thus had a following of clients, including Paul Simon, who would visit his shop. This note was left for him one afternoon when he was out of the shop and Paul Simon stopped in seeking a lamp.
