Victor Manuel (Cuban, 1867-1969), Pastel, ink, and gouache portrait on paper, titled Muchacha (young woman). Victor Manuel was known as one of the founders of the modern art movement in Cuba, and is most notable for his portraits of young women and landscapes. This piece is more indicative of the artist's later work, circa late 1960s. Signed "Victor Manuel" in the lower right corner.
