Framed goldtone of the Edward Curtis photograph, "The Vanishing Race-Navaho." The photograph shows Navajo Indians riding on horseback away from the photographer. This goldtone was made by the Curtis Centennial Project in 1998. The original negative is from 1904. The print is signed, copyrighted and dated in the bottom right corner. Frame approx. 15" by 13" and photograph approx. 9.5" by 7.5". Edward Curtis (1868-1952) was an American photographer known for his photographs of the American West and Native American people.
