Cushioned armchair by American furniture designer Thomas Molesworth (1890-1977). The chair has a fir wood frame, loose cushion pole back. Upholstered arms and loose cushion seat. Open sides with pole supports. Colorful Beige Russian needlepoint seat back upholstery depicting flowers and a pheasant in flight. Chair is approx. 27" width X 31" height X 33" deep. Consignor purchased the chair at Coeur d'Alene Art Auction - Thomas Molesworth Auction on July 26th 1997, Lot 101. Scans of the sale catalog cover and page containing this lot will be included. Also includes the 2005 book "Molesworth: The Pioneer of Western Design" by Terry Winchell.
