Signed and inscribed photo of Jack Dempsey (1895-1983) "Manassa Mauler", American heavyweight boxing champion. Portrait photo depicts Dempsey as a Coast Guard Reserve lieutenant during World War II. Signed in black ink lower right, the inscription reads "To a great fellow my friend Bill Canning with every good wish 3/15/44". Marked "Pach Bros N.Y." studio on mat at lower right. Mounted in wood frame.

Condition: Very good, some silvering around signature and inscription, minor chips to frame.
