Two cartes de visite (CDVs) from the American civil war era.

  • Union General John Pope, put down the Sioux Indian uprising of 1862 in Minnesota which resulted in the hanging of 38 Sioux leaders. It remains the largest mass execution in US history. 
  • George W. Johnson, 1st confederate Governor of Kentucky and Private, Co. E, 4th KY Infantry, killed in action at the Battle of Shiloh. 

Featured in Confederate Veteran magazine, includes information packet.
