1940s United Spanish War Veterans (USWV) and Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) paper ephemera, including:
- Letter with envelope from Amy Noll to "Martha" (envelope says Mrs. G.T. Davis) regarding adding her father to the GAR roster. Letter dated February 22, 1941. The letter was sent from the GAR Department of Iowa.
- Postcard from the USWV Corp. Clarence Stewart Auxiliary, No. 19, Dept. of Massachusetts announcing the next meeting. The postcard was sent to Millie Tesson of Medford, MA. Postmarked February 9, 1945 from Somerville, MA.
- Four 1949 GAR Final National Encampment 3 cent stamps.
- GAR Final National Encampment postcard, postmarked August 29, 1949 from Indianapolis, IN. Postcard design by Bob Hendricks.
- GAR first day of issue cover with illustrations of GAR cofounders Major B.F. Stephenson and Rev. William J. Rutledge. Design by Pent Arts. Postmarked August 29, 1949 from Indianapolis, IN.
- Letter with envelope from "Aunt May McCarrty" of San Diego to Lillian Taylor of Oakland sending her the GAR first day of issue envelope so Taylor could save it since her great-grandfather Sergeant Beasley of Missouri and her grandfather James Allen were Union veterans. McCarrty wrote the letter on August 29, 1949 from Indianapolis, IN, where she was serving as a delegate during the GAR Final National Encampment.
