  • Capital "I" infantry button, non-dug, back is blank, 7/8" diameter. Includes information about the button copied from "Record of American Uniform and Historical Buttons Bicentennial Edition" by Alphaeus H. Albert, 1976.
  • Waist belt plate brass "snake" buckle connector, dug, 1.5" length. Includes information about the connector copied from "Confederate Belt Buckles and Plates Expanded Edition" by Steve E. Mullinax.
  • Envelope sent from Virginia by Private J.A. Fontaine, 1st Regiment of the Louisiana Volunteers, Company F to Marshall Sharp, Esq. in Mandeville, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. Does not include a letter.


Condition: Patina on button and buckle connector. Envelope is torn and worn from age.
